6) Use of customer data for direct marketing purposes
6.1 Registration for our e-mail newsletter
If you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will send you information about our offers on a regular basis. Mandatory information for sending the newsletter is only your e-mail address. The provision of further data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. For sending the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which ensures that you will only receive newsletters if you have expressly confirmed your consent to receive the newsletter by clicking on a verification link sent to the specified e-mail address.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent for the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. In doing so, we store your IP address entered by the Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to track any possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later date. The data we collect when you register for the newsletter is used strictly for the intended purpose. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the person responsible mentioned at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your e-mail address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list immediately, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data for any other purpose that is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.
6.2 Sending the e-mail newsletter to existing customers
If you have provided us with your e-mail address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services, such as those already purchased, from our range by e-mail. In accordance with § 7 para. 3 Act against unfair competition, we do not need to obtain your separate consent for this. In this respect, the data processing is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If you have initially objected to the use of your e-mail address for this purpose, no e-mails will be sent by us. In this case, you will only be charged transmission costs according to the base rates. After receipt of your objection, the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes will cease immediately.
6.3 – Newsletter dispatch via MailChimp
Our email newsletters are sent via the technical service provider The Rocket Science Group, LLC d/b/a MailChimp, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (http://www.mailchimp.com/), to whom we pass on the data you provided when registering for the newsletter. This transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using a newsletter system that is effective in advertising, secure and user-friendly. Please note that your data is usually transferred to a MailChimp server in the USA and stored there.
MailChimp uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. For the evaluation, the sent emails contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files that are stored on our website. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. With the help of the web beacons, Mailchimp automatically creates general, non-personal statistics about the response behavior to newsletter campaigns. However, based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of newsletter campaigns for the optimization of promotional communication and better targeting of recipient interests, the web beacons also collect and utilize data of the respective newsletter recipient (mail address, time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system) in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR. This data allows an individual conclusion to be drawn about the newsletter recipient and is processed by Mailchimp for the automated creation of statistics that reveal whether a particular recipient has opened a newsletter message.
If you wish to deactivate the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
MailChimp may also use this data itself in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of its own legitimate interest in the needs-based design and optimization of the service, as well as for market research purposes, for example to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass them on to third parties.
To protect your data in the USA, we have concluded a data processing agreement (“Data Processing Agreement”) with MailChimp based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission to enable the transfer of your personal data to MailChimp. If interested, this data processing agreement can be viewed at the following Internet address: https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/
You can view MailChimp’s privacy policy here:

7) Data processing for order handling
7.1 Insofar as necessary for the processing of the contract for delivery and payment purposes, the personal data collected by us will be passed on to the commissioned transport company and the commissioned credit institution in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
If we owe you updates for goods with digital elements or for digital products on the basis of a corresponding contract, we will process the contact data (name, address, e-mail address) provided by you when placing the order in order to inform you personally about upcoming updates within the legally stipulated period within the scope of our legal information obligations pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR by suitable means of communication (e.g. by post or e-mail). Your contact data will be used strictly for the purpose of informing you about updates owed by us and will only be processed by us for this purpose to the extent necessary for the respective information.
In order to process your order, we also work together with the following service provider(s), which support us in whole or in part in the execution of concluded contracts. Certain personal data is transmitted to these service providers in accordance with the following information.
7.2 Use of payment service providers (payment services)
– Stripe
If you choose a payment method of the payment service provider Stripe, the payment is processed via the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland, to whom we pass on your information provided during the ordering process together with information about your order (name, address, account number, bank code, possibly credit card number, invoice amount, currency and transaction number) in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. You can find more information about Stripe’s data protection at the URL https://stripe.com/de/privacy#translation.
Stripe reserves the right to perform a credit check based on mathematical-statistical methods in order to safeguard the legitimate interest in determining the User’s ability to pay. The personal data necessary for a credit check and obtained in the course of payment processing may be transmitted by Stripe to selected credit agencies, which Stripe discloses to Users upon request. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values are included in the result of the credit report, these have their basis in a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. The calculation of the score values includes, but is not limited to, address data. Stripe uses the result of the credit check with regard to the statistical probability of non-payment for the purpose of deciding on the authorization to use the selected payment method.
You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to Stripe or the appointed credit agencies.
However, Stripe may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for the contractual processing of payments.
8) Online marketing
– Google Ads Conversion Tracking
This website uses the online advertising program “Google Ads” and within the scope of Google Ads the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). We use the offer of Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. In this way, we pursue the aim of displaying advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you and achieving a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.
The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google Ads. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across Google Ads customers’ websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. In the context of the use of Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.
Details on the processing triggered by Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Google’s handling of data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for reading out information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.
You can also permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads conversion tracking by downloading and installing the Google browser plug-in available at the following link:

Please note that certain functions of this website may not be available or may be restricted if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

– LinkedIn Marketing Solutions
We use “LinkedIn Marketing Solutions” on our website, a service of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter “LinkedIn”). This enables us to point visitors to our website to further content of our own that is likely to be of interest to the respective user, based on their usage behavior on the LinkedIn social network. This content is displayed on the basis of a cookie-based analysis of previous user behavior, but no personal data is stored. For this interest-based content determination, cookies, i.e. small text files, are stored on your computer or mobile device in order to collect pseudonymized data about your surfing behavior and thus to individually adapt the content to the stored information.
The information can be assigned to the person of the user with the help of further information that LinkedIn has stored about the user, e.g. due to the ownership of an account on the social network “LinkedIn”. LinkedIn uses an algorithm to analyze the surfing behavior and can then display targeted product recommendations as personalized advertising banners on the user’s LinkedIn account. LinkedIn may also combine the information collected via the cookies with other information that LinkedIn has collected via other websites and / or in connection with the use of the social network “LinkedIn”, and thus create pseudonymized usage profiles. In no case, however, can the information collected be used to personally identify visitors to this website.
9) Web analytics services
Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), to analyze the use of websites.
When you access this website, no cookies (text files that are stored on your terminal device and that enable an analysis of your use of the website) are used by default in the so-called consent mode (beta version) of Google Analytics 4, unless you expressly consent to the setting of cookies and the reading of information from cookies after a corresponding request. Until such consent is given, if any, and – if you expressly refuse to give such consent when requested to do so by us – no cookies will be set or read by Google Analytics 4 during your continued use of this website. Instead, certain information about your usage behavior is collected and processed with so-called “pings”.
The information collected in this case by so-called pings about your use of the website (including the IP address transmitted by your terminal device, shortened by the last digits, see below) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored and further processed there. This may also result in the transmission of information to the servers of Google LLC, which is based in the USA, and further processing there. If you expressly consent to the use of cookies, the same applies to the information collected by cookies about your use of the website.
When using Google Analytics 4, the IP address transmitted by your terminal device when you use the website is always collected and processed by default and automatically only in an anonymized manner, so that a direct personal reference of the collected information is excluded. This automatic anonymization is carried out by shortening the IP address transmitted by your terminal device by Google within member states of the European Union (EU) or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) by the last digits.
On our behalf, Google uses this and other information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about your website activities and usage behavior, and to provide us with other services related to your website and internet usage. In this context, the IP address transmitted and shortened by your terminal device within the scope of Google Analytics 4 will not be merged with other data from Google. The data collected in the context of the use of Google Analytics 4 will be stored for 2 months and then deleted.
Google Analytics 4 also enables the creation of statistics with statements about the age, gender and interests of website users on the basis of an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the involvement of third-party information via a special function, the so-called “demographic characteristics”. This makes it possible to determine and distinguish user groups of the website for the purpose of targeting marketing measures. However, data collected via the “demographic characteristics” cannot be assigned to a specific person and thus not to you personally. This data collected via the “demographic characteristics” function is retained for two months and then deleted.
All processing operations described above, including data transfers via “pings” and
the possible setting of Google Analytics cookies for the storage and possible reading of information on the terminal device used by you for the use of the website, will only take place if you have given us your express consent for this in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without your consent, the analysis of your use of the website will not take place. You can revoke your consent once given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service via the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website.
We have concluded a so-called order processing agreement with Google for our use of Google Analytics 4, which obliges Google to protect the data of our website users and not to pass it on to third parties.
To ensure compliance with the European level of data protection also in the event of any transfer of data from the EU or the EEA to the USA and possible further processing there, Google refers to the so-called standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which we have contractually agreed with Google.
Further legal information on Google Analytics 4, including a copy of the aforementioned standard contractual clauses, can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

The extended data protection mode is used here, which, according to the provider, only triggers the storage of user information when the video(s) is/are played. If the playback of embedded Youtube videos is started, the provider “Youtube” uses cookies to collect information about user behavior. According to information from “Youtube”, these are used, among other things, to collect video statistics, to improve user-friendliness and to prevent abusive behavior. If you are logged in to Google, your data is directly assigned to your account when you click on a video. If you do not want the assignment to your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right. The use of YouTube may also result in the transmission of personal data to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.
Independently of a playback of the embedded videos, a connection to the Google network is established each time this website is called up, which may trigger further data processing operations without our influence.
All processing described above, in particular the reading of information on the end device used via the tracking pixel, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, Youtube videos will not be used during your visit to the site.
You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website via alternative options communicated to you on the website.

To confirm your registration for a webinar, you will receive an invitation link by email. After clicking on the invitation link, a connection to the servers of GoToMeeting is established.
